DINING 
First Settler’s Lodge offers fine dining to Lodge guests and to the general public. Public dinning is by reservation only.  Meals are home-made country-gourmet style cuisine. Public dining is available by reservation on the following basis:    

• Friday and Saturday Evening Meals-5pm-8pm

SAMPLE MAIN MENU

PADDLING, FISHING AND HUNTING PACKAGES

All packages include meals, outfitting, and outdoor assistance. 
Paddling packages include:  Stream-flow and local water information, shuttle services, and use of canoe or kayak, paddles and PFD’s. 
Fishing trips on area lakes include:  Hatch and tackle information, use of motorized or non-motorized canoe or boat, and safety equipment. 
Hunting trips include: Area maps, habitat and population information, pre-scouted territory, complementary use of dog kennels, and tree stands. 
Guided packages include:  In addition to the above,  Professional Registered Maine Guide services and hot lunches prepared on the shore or in the field. 
Remote Fly Fishing Trips are customized and quoted as trips may be entirely separate from or added to other Lodge packages. 

Five-Day rate per person (PP) includes six (6) nights lodging and five (5) days of outdoor activity. Three-day rate per person (PP) includes four (4) nights lodging and three (3) days of outdoor activity. Shared occupancy and outdoor plan rates are based on a single booking of a minimum of two (2) adults. Rates are exclusive of staff gratuities and Maine State sales tax.

NORTH WOODS TOURS RENTALS AND OUTFITTING

Canoes, kayaks, and boat rentals include PFD’s, paddles, safety instruction, and orientation. Customers must be able to demonstrate the operation and use of rental equipment in a safe and prudent manner. All rentals and outdoor activities subject to safety and risk agreement.

Note: Guide fees are exclusive of gratuities. Rate for third person is 50% of daily base rate.

Customized Canoe and Kayak Trips  

Prices are quoted for guided and/or assisted (outfitted and shuttled) canoe and kayak trips depending upon the type and location of the trip, the number of people in the party, length of shuttle, and the degree of outfitting, guide, and personal gear required. Arrangements for day trips must be made at least one week in advance of departure, and thirty (30) days prior to multi-day river trips. Customized Snowmobile Tours  

Maine Snowmobile Tours are designed and priced depends upon the location and duration of the trip, lodging and meal arrangements, size of party, and the degree of outfitting, guiding, and snowmobile gear required.  Arrangements for snowmobile tours must made at least three (3) weeks in advance of departure. Pricing and package details are provided by quote.

Twin Rivers Cabin and the Cleaves Camp are fully equipped for housekeeping including hot and cold running water, shower, and TV.  Twin Rivers is located in Bancroft near the confluence of the Baskahegan and Mattamamkeag Rivers. The Cleaves Camp is situated on the Mattawamkeag River in Haynesville .  The above rates apply up to a party of four or less.  For larger groups add $20.00 per person per night.  Rates are exclusive of Maine State sales tax and maid service gratuity.

DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

 First Settler’s Lodge and North Woods Tours requires a thirty (30) percent deposit or valid credit card to confirm lodging, meals, and outdoor services.  Cancellations received within 72 hours of intended arrival will be refunded up to a $100.00 minimum fee. If you can rebook, your retained minimum fee will be refunded in full or applied to a future visit.
